NEW VOICES FOR THE THEATRE 2006
At this point in my life, NEW VOICES has been a deciding factor to what I plan on doing the rest of my life.– Max Kessler, high school playwright, NEW VOICES 2005
New Voices for the Theatre is made possible, in part, through the generosity of The Paul G. Allen Family Foundation, the Michael S. Engl Family Foundation and the Deer Creek Fund in the Idaho Community Foundation.
Company of Fools brings a mission founded upon the core element of pursuing education on all levels and the continual exploration of the creative process. It is from this position that Company of Fools is undertaking year two of its dynamic project entitled NEW VOICES FOR THE THEATRE, June 12 through June 30th. NEW VOICES is a project that nurtures middle and high school writers in the art of playwrighting and culminates in the presentation of their work at the Liberty Theatre June 29th & 30th at 7PM. Writers range from 7th through 12th grade. Last year writer Haley Johnson commented,” Having such a wide range of writers was great. I’m glad that this wasn’t limited to a certain grade. Working with more experienced writers made me work all the harder.”
Company of Fools is proud to announce the following students selected to participate in New Voices for the Theatre 2006.
Cody Cole –Wood River High School
Zana Davey – Community School
Sean Dhalman – Wood River Middle School
Stormy Mataya – Wood River High School

This project will not only embrace the writing company but will support the talents of approximately twenty in the areas of acting and directing in the final week.
